WELCOME TO MOFFATT SCHOOL OF IRISH DANCING AND ATLANTIC RHYTHM!

MAYO DAY FUNDRAISER A TREMENDOUS SUCCESS!

We're sure that you know that many of our families should have been dancing recently in the All Ireland Championships here in Mayo, and we were all looking forward to hosting this event.

So, on Saturday 2nd May, we all celebrated Mayo Day, and at 11am all of our dancers dressed in their school tracksuits ( or Mayo jerseys ), and walked 4km (max 2km guidelines from the HSE) and on return their houses, to dance 16 bars of a dance. This was all recorded, with the photos and videos shared on our website and social media.

We are delighted to announce that we raised some €765 for a very worthy cause, the Mayo Roscommon Hospice.

We'd like to thank Angelina Nugent at Mayo Roscommon Hospice, Mags Connell at Mayo Day, and Anne-Marie Flynn at Mayo North for all their help in organising this last-minute event!

...As we said before....Hon The Moff's!!!!!! Up Mayo !!!!!!!!

LATEST NEWS
MARCH 19 2020

Following the government directive in relation to the closure of all schools and childcare facilities, we as a dancing school fall under the same directive. Therefore all classes will now cease and will re-open, please God, in the not-too-distant future.

We will keep you informed of any further developments.

To download CRN Statement please click on image on  this page.

We would encourage all dancers to practice and to keep up their hard work and fitness levels. We will keep in touch via email, we encourage dancers to forward video clips of their practice for correction. All dancers should use this time wisely so that when things go back to normal we can pick up where we left off.

THE SCHOOL

The Moffatt School of Irish Dancing is based in County Mayo, in the west of Ireland.
Founded by Sheila Moffatt, the school has gone from strength to strength, and is now one of the most prominent Irish Dancing Schools in the country.

We provide Irish dancing lessons to children and teenagers from age 4 upwards in many venues across County

Mayo. Under the direct supervision and guidance of Sheila Moffatt, ADCRN - an Irish dancing teacher & adjudicator with over 25 years experience - we continue to nurture the continued development of the Traditional Arts from Beginner to World champion level. The school provides a friendly, safe & encouraging environment  where young people of all ages can enjoy both solo and team Irish dancing. Competition is optional, each child makes their own decision on the level of involvement the wish to pursue in both the competitive and non competitive world of Irish dance.
